Project Information

Weavers’ Hall is a landmark Purpose Built Managed (PBM) Student Accommodation development for Queen’s University on the Dublin Road in Belfast, in partnership with GRAHAM’s Building North team. The development is anticipated to comprise 459 bedrooms, communal facilities and amenity spaces over 17 floors in a prominent location in Belfast city centre.

It is an energy efficient, net-zero ready building, designed with sustainability and students’ wellbeing in mind. Planning approval was granted in April 2024 and accommodation is due to open in 2026.

The development will be the:
• First certified Passivhaus Purpose Built Student Accommodation in Belfast
• Largest certified Passivhaus project on the island of Ireland
• First ultra-low emission multi-occupancy building in Belfast city centre

A Chartered Building Services Engineer with over 15 years’ experience working with some of the UK’s foremost engineering companies, Cormac has been pivotal to the successful award and delivery of multi-million pound projects since being appointed to the role of Managing Director in June 2020 and rebranding the business as Bennett Freehill.
