Project Information

This new school will provide modern educational facilities for 800 post-primary pupils on the existing 11-hectare school site in Carnlough, in the Antrim Coast and Glens Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The project involves a new 9,737 sqm building and demolition of existing school buildings. The new buildings will be located to the rear of the site, between two retained Grade B1 listed buildings – Garron Tower and St MacNissi’s College Chapel. The St Joseph’s building, located just behind the West Block of the new buildings, will also be retained. Planning approval was granted in May 2022.

A new purpose-built Sixth Form Centre will be incorporated as part of the campus wide transformation and will feature a dedicated Careers Department, modern Study Area and IT suite, two flexible classrooms, two multi-purpose rooms and carefully designed ancillary spaces
