Work to redevelop the historic Connolly Barracks in Longford continues to make significant progress. The barracks complex is a protected structure and is considered an important part of the area’s architectural and historical heritage, and this project will repurpose the historic former gymnasium into state-of-the-art workshops to support the introduction of electrical apprenticeship training.
Additionally, the former ration store building will be reimagined into a modern welfare facility, complete with a canteen, new entrance lobby, and linked glazed extension. This significant investment not only preserves the heritage of Connolly Barracks but also paves the way for enhanced educational opportunities in the region.
Our role as MEP designers ensures that the facilities will meet the highest standards for energy efficiency, comfort, and functionality. We are proud to contribute to a project that aligns with national policies for expanding apprenticeship schemes and supporting lifelong learning. We look forward to seeing these plans come to life and providing the technical expertise needed to deliver exceptional spaces for both learners and educators.
